NHG members and parents,

Great news! We have been informed today by the stadium operator that EFS Stadium has had its yellow sticker downgraded to a white sticker.
This means that the gym facility is now accessible to NHG staff.

While I know you will all be keen and excited at the prospect of reentry, this cannot happen immediately.  With access to the site only just now available to NHG, as an organisation we are now looking to conduct our gym surface clean, equipment inventory assessment, temporary safety fence/barrier erection for the empty foam pit, and finally the set-up with the undamaged equipment.  This hopefully should not take longer than a week, particularly with the application of many keen and motivated staff and volunteers.

I will keep you abreast of progress and the timeline.
We may need to ask parents to volunteer some time to help move equipment or cleaning, and will be in touch next week if we need volunteer help. Your assistance has been very much appreciated.

Thank you all for your patience and support while  we get our gym up and running again.

Just a quick update about progress on the gym.
The stadium operator informs us that work continues on the removal of flood damaged equipment and building remediation. Most of the work is going to plan and they are working with Council on steps required to allow us back in the building so we can set up and welcome you back to our gym.
But for the time being, the building remains “yellow stickered”.

We absolutely appreciate your patience and support. We know you are all missing the gym and your regular sessions and rest assured we are doing everything we can to get you back in the building as soon as possible.

We received word over the weekend that the stadium has had some delays due to the contractors and building supplies being slow to arrive on site. This affects the whole venue so we are not able to open EFS from today, as we had originally plannedThe stadium has contacted us again this morning to say that due to the ongoing delays the new start date for EFS is Monday the 13th of March. Needless to say, we are all extremely disappointed to hear about these delays, as we have everything planned and ready to go for our reopening from today! Please be reassured that we are pushing the contractors and stadium as hard as we can to get everything completed as soon as possible.
CREDITS: Credits will be applied over the next few weeks for the missed classes. If you do not see them on your account straight away, please do not worry, they will be applied shortly.

ZOOM!

Zoom is back!! But this time in a slightly different way. Keep reading for all the details……
Each skill in gymnastics is made up of hundreds of foundation skills and shapes, combined with flexibility and strength elements. Perfecting and practising these foundation skills are the KEY to learning the bigger, more fun skills in gymnastics.

  • We are running specialised zoom classes based on the most popular skills that all the gymnasts love and want to learn
  • The zoom classes will run in a 2-week series, and we recommend attending both weeks as they are progressive
  • All the components of the class can be practised at home, even after the class and will benefit those gymnasts who are super keen to learn these skills more quickly
  • $5 per class. Booked online through your account – see link below for more details
  • CLICK HERE for more details, how to book and to see the Timetable. PLEASE TAKE NOTE OF THE TABS AT THE BOTTOM OF THE GOOGLE SHEET!

We cannot wait to get our gym open again for all the children and parents to return as soon as we are allowed.

Please keep an eye on your emails and this webpage for updates!
